Hip Hip Hooray!!

Well, today we celebrated Kyra's first birthday!!! I can't believe it has been a year already. We did a hippo theme, and I have spent the past two days doing everything "hippo". It was a fun day, and I think we all had enough pizza and hippo cake to last us a year.... Here are some of the pictures.

It was funny because when Kyra was opening her presents, Cassidy couldn't get over the fact that they weren't hers! We kept telling her they were Kyra's presents because it was Kyra's birthday. As Chevy's family left, Cassidy made sure to tell Nana and Grandpa thank you for the "Cassidy and Kyra presents".
AND THE CAKE.........This was made from scratch. I tried my best on the hippo.

Update

Well, I know it has been a couple months since my last post, but it has been a busy couple of months! I finished all of my coursework, and am now student teaching!!! I never thought I would make it this far......
Aubrey left for Provo this month and so Chevy is at home with the girls during the hours I am in school. It has been nice to have his help. The girls usually don't match when he gets them dressed, but I really appreciate his effort. :) We are getting to spend MUCH more time as a family these days, which is something we really enjoy.

Cassidy will start toddler lab at the college next week, and we are sooo excited about that! The teachers in the lab will be taking lots of pictures of her, and so I will be sure to post those.

HALLOWEEN 2008

Okay, I know I haven't put any pictures up in a while, but I had to put a few up of the girls on Halloween. Cassidy was a bumblebee and Kyra was a bunny. They were absolutely adorable! I took them to class with me in their costumes that morning, and I don't believe there was a person who didn't comment on how cute they were.

We took them trick or treating and Cassidy had a blast. She actually tried to walk in people's doors as soon as they opened them! :)

She insisted on holding her treat bag without any help. (I think she was a little worried mom or dad would try to steal some).

The candy was gone within a matter of days, and of course, it was Cassidy who ate it all!!!

A belated birthday gift

Well, Mandy sent Cassidy a belated birthday gift that she absolutely LOVED!! Here are a couple of the pictures. (Every time we go out, Cassidy wants to wear those Barbie shoes!)

Kyra's first feeding

Well, since Kyra is so ridiculously expensive to feed formula to, ($6 for a bottle that is gone in a day--$49 a week--and about $200 a month) we decided to try and cut our cost and give her some good old rice cereal. I was a little skeptical seeing as how trying to give it to Cassidy was a TRAUMATIC event, but it actually went quite well. Here are the pictures to prove it.

A Princess Party

Well, our little girl turned two today! Time has really gone by fast. Cassidy is loving anything princess right now, so we decided to go all out and throw her a princess party. She was pretty excited when she came down the stairs in the morning to see all of the princess decorations....
Chevy's family came for our celebration and brought lots of gifts. So with all of the presents combined, one may have gotten the idea that Cassidy is spoiled, but of course that is completely untrue. :)

Day at the Park

Well, I finally got a day off school, so Aubrey and I decided to take the girls to go get a snow cone! Afterwards we took them to the park at our complex and Cassidy had a blast.... She went down the slides over and over and over again. Needless to say she was quite upset when I told her it was time to come in. :)
